No single structure is suitable for all operating conditions.
Selecting the right structure is more important than choosing the lowest-priced equipment.

GYRO places greater emphasis on long-term operational stability.
Many pieces of equipment perform perfectly when they leave the factory.
The real difference becomes apparent only after several years of operation.
During the design phase of our U-tube heat exchangers, we specifically evaluate:
Whether temperature differentials fluctuate frequently;
Whether the unit operates under alternating hot and cold conditions;
Whether frequent start-stop cycles are required;
Whether the tube-side and shell-side media are prone to generating thermal stress;
Whether there are plans for future capacity expansion.
These factors directly influence the choice of equipment structure.
We do not simply manufacture according to drawings; instead, we optimize the design based on actual operating conditions.

Customization goes beyond merely adding features; it is about minimizing potential operational issues down the line.
Process conditions vary from project to project.
We provide custom designs tailored to specific requirements:
Material combinations suited to corrosive media;
Baffle configurations optimized for flow velocity and pressure drop;
Thermal stress analysis for high-temperature-difference applications;
Designs for specialized flanges, nozzles, and connection orientations;
Flexible installation options, including horizontal and vertical configurations;
Integrated skid-mounted systems and associated piping designs.
Before manufacturing a U-tube heat exchanger, GYRO performs thermal and mechanical analyses based on process parameters to ensure the equipment meets not only the design drawings but also actual operational needs.

Every step is documented, from raw materials to final dispatch.
GYRO maintains a comprehensive manufacturing quality management process. For every U-tube heat exchanger, we provide documentation-such as MTC, WPS/PQR, RT/UT/MT/PT records, hydrostatic or pneumatic test reports, dimensional inspection reports, and final quality dossiers-tailored to specific project requirements.
For export projects, we facilitate acceptance inspections by third-party agencies to ensure the equipment fully complies with contractual and project specifications.
Packaging and Shipping
Depending on the dimensions of the U-tube heat exchanger and the transport distance, the following packaging options are available:
Wooden crate packaging (suitable for small to medium-sized equipment)
Steel base mounting (suitable for large equipment)
Frame packaging (facilitates international shipping and lifting)
Bare shipping (suitable for extra-large equipment)
Protective covers are installed on all flange sealing surfaces, and nozzles are sealed against dust. Carbon steel equipment is coated with anti-rust primer, and critical components receive shock-absorbing protection to minimize the risk of damage during transit.
For overseas projects, we can simultaneously provide packing lists, material certificates, inspection reports, and necessary technical documentation for export.
During project execution, GYRO collaborates with more than just the procurement department.
In many projects, delivery schedules are impacted by the flow of information between various departments.
During project execution, GYRO arranges for its engineers to communicate in sync with the client's process, equipment, procurement, and construction teams. We confirm interface dimensions, lifting requirements, installation space, and on-site progress in advance, thereby minimizing rework caused by design changes or information discrepancies.
For EPC projects, we can also arrange phased deliveries aligned with the overall construction schedule, helping to ensure a smoother on-site installation process.

If you are planning a new project or preparing to replace existing equipment, please feel free to send your process parameters, P&IDs, or equipment drawings to GYRO. Based on your specific operating conditions, our engineering team will provide recommendations on structural selection and thermal calculations, as well as solutions covering equipment manufacturing and EPC services.
